Jiřina Marešová, organ
Jiřina Marešová is one of the most interesting personalities of the young organ generation. She studied organ playing at the Prague Conservatory and the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under the guidance of J. Tůma. She later continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Hamburg in the class of W. Zerer and completed her studies with a doctoral degree at the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In 2004 she became a finalist of the International Organ Improvisation Competition in Schlägl, Austria, and in 2006 a semi-finalist of the Prague Spring interpretation competition. She currently teaches at the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and at the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague.
Jiřina Marešová is repeatedly invited to participate in many international music festivals (Smetana's Litomyšl, Český Krumlov Baroque Arts Festival, etc.). She regularly collaborates with outstanding soloists and musical ensembles (Collegium Marianum, Musica Florea, etc.). She has long collaborated on recordings for Czech Radio and Czech Television.
