Martin Sadílek, harp

Harpist Martin Sadílek began his musical career as a member of the Pueri gaudentes boys' choir. At the age of seven, he discovered the harp, an instrument that immediately enchanted him! Between 2016 and 2024, he studied in Hana Müllerová's harp class at the Grammar School and Music School of the City of Prague and is currently a harp student at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in the class of Ernestina Stoop and Sylvain Blassel.
He won first prize at the Prof. Karel Patras Harp Competition, the Viktoria Poltareva International Competition in Kiev, the Glowing Harp International Competition in Kharkiv, the Prague Harp Competition of Conservatories and Music Gymnasiums, the French Harp Competition in Limoges and the Suoni d'Arpa International Competition in Saluzzo, Italy. He has also been awarded at the Concertino Praga, Virtuosos V4+, Felix Godefroid Competition in Tournai, Belgium, and the International Harp Competition in Szeged.
He participates in masterclasses of leading world harpists (Isabelle Moretti, Viktor Hartobanu, Nicoletta Sanzin, and others). He has performed solo with, among others, the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, and appeared as part of the Focus on Youth program at the World Harp Congress in Cardiff.
